WORLDS GREATEST SHAVE

Our SRC are getting involved in the ‘World’s Greatest Shave’ at BSC!

We’re taking part in the World's Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation – we’re on a mission to shave the world from blood cancer!

Please sponsor us to give families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need. Additionally, you will also be funding vital research which goes towards helping more people survive blood cancers, while improving their quality of life.

Every day another 47 Australians are diagnosed with a blood cancer. That’s one Aussie every 31 minutes. Although research is improving survival, sadly an Australian loses their life to blood cancer every two hours.

If you are interested, please join the BSC team to register.

We will be holding this event on Friday 12th March at lunchtime in the Amphitheatre.

Our very own Junior School Administrator Barb, will be shaving her locks!

Please register online if you want to participate on the day and join the ‘BSC Team (http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/brightonsecondarycollege) or to make a donation.

If you find the idea of shaving intimidating, don't worry! You don't necessarily have to shave your head, haircuts (and probably hairspray) will be offered too 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️

Since all these shavings will contribute to fighting blood cancer, this is a great cause for us to support!

We are hoping to have parents involved who may like to help on the day (who are qualified hairdressers!) to shave and cut students hair.

We would really appreciate your help and hope some parents would like to be part of this event our SRC are running.

Please email Leisa Higgins (hig@brightonsc.vic.edu.au) if you are interested.
