LUNAR NEW YEAR

The most important festival in Chinese culture is the Chinese New Year and it is celebrated once a year.

Chinese New Year is also known as the Lunar New Year and in the Chinese calendar it is the longest celebration. Chinese New Year, though it is a more traditional festival, is somewhat different from other New Years. Unlike the regular New Year, Chinese New Year's Day falls on different day each year.

In 2021, festival will begin on February 11th and go on till February 26th. This year it is the Year of Ox - Oxen are hard workers and reliable, but never demanding praise. Chinese New Year helps to bring people together. It is the day that everybody stops working and goes back home, where all the members of the family come together for an annual meeting and dinner. This creates connections between families and family bonding time.
