Year 7 German

In Germany every child starting school gets a “Schultüte”. Usually parents, grandparents or a close relative gifts the Schultüte to the child who is starting school. Traditionally the cone is filled with sweets, toys and stationery.
The tradition goes back to the early 1800s. The idea is to help the child ease through their new beginning.
This year our year 7 German classes have made a Schultüte for each other.
