After an amazingly successful day at Chandler last Thursday, we have jumped up from seventh place to fifth place in the overall score.  We are incredibly proud of all the students who represented the College - both swimmers and reserves - and a huge thank you to all the staff and past students who came out on the day to make it run smoothly.  Hopefully, CaSSSA Cross Country next term will look the same.  #onwardsandupwardsfromhere

Continuing along with this positive notion, in this week's Activities Corner we are going to highlight the sporting success of students at the College and our team CaSSSA sports.  It’s important that these students are recognised and acknowledged as they deserve to be congratulated after the timeless hours of training and preparation that goes into their training sessions and competitions.

I was fortunate enough to talk with Hannah Davis, a Year 7 student at Mt A this year.  She has really stood out to me this term in her sporting success.  Hannah is a respectful student, who has the motivation and passion for all she does.  She participated in the CaSSSA swimming this year and posted amazing times whilst gaining many points for the College.  Alongside swimming, Hannah competes in SLSC competitions.  After a full day at the CaSSSA comp Hannah backed up and competed in the SLSC Gold Coast competition on Saturday, placing seventh!  She started surf lifesaving at the age of six and has competed for the last six years.  Hannah continues to do Nippers because it’s fun going in the ocean and she is excited to learn about saving lives.

As well as Hannah, the sporting success continues to grow at Mt A.  As touched on briefly before, the Mt A swim team travelled to Chandler last week.  Additionally, two weeks ago, the College came together to compete at the 2021 swim carnival.  Following is a rundown on how these days went from our Swim Captains, Kathryn Arcadio and Bella Collins, who both did an outstanding job in carrying, motivating, and supporting the team.
