iPads in the Foundation Classrooms

Wushka:

Foundation students have enjoyed utilising Wushka during our Literacy Workshop time. Wushka is an online library that provides students with a wide range of fiction and non-fiction levelled readers. Children have enjoyed logging on to read or listen to stories and complete comprehension quizzes. Student logins can be found inside their home reading diaries if you wish to make use of this fantastic resource at home.

Reading Eggs:

Reading Eggs is another online resource that is being utilised in the Foundation classrooms. It supports children learning to read with carefully designed reading games and activities that are easy to follow, self-paced, and highly engaging for young children. It also includes online books and comprehension quizzes. Logins can also be found inside home reading diaries.

SeeSaw:

We are beginning to introduce SeeSaw activities for Foundation students to complete during Literacy and Numeracy sessions. Families will be able to view completed tasks from home if they are connected to their child’s classroom SeeSaw. Last week during Numeracy, students completed their first SeeSaw task which had a focus on continuing and making patterns.
