Upcoming Parent Teacher Interviews to be held onsite:
Parent Teacher Interviews are coming up on Wednesday 24 March, from 12:00pm to 7:00pm and will be held onsite. Parent Teacher Interviews are an opportunity for a three-way conversation between parents, students and teachers. Students should reflect on their efforts and discuss future learning goals and challenges with their parents and teachers. As active participants in their own education, students are expected to attend the interviews with you.
Bookings for individual appointments with each of your child’s teachers are now open via Compass – bookings are essential and parents will not be able to have an interview without pre-booking on Compass. To optimise your interview experience, we recommend that you leave a break between bookings with teachers and consider the distance between their locations to ensure you have enough time to meet with everyone you would like to.
In order to ensure that we are Covid safe, there will be restrictions on the number of people permitted in the classrooms for the conferences in order to meet the density limits prescribed therefore, we ask that only current Tarneit Senior College students and their parents/carers attend the interviews.
Upon entry to the school you will be asked to register your attendance via a QR code in the auditorium foyer and are asked to wait outside of classrooms practising social distancing from others onsite until your scheduled booking. Teachers will invite you into the room for your meeting and masks are recommended.
Parents/Carers and students will only be able to enter the College via Crossway Avenue.
If you have any questions about interviews or need assistance with making bookings please contact the college.
Visit from Member for Tarneit Sarah Connelly:
On Thursday 11th March, we welcomed a visit from local member for Tarneit Sarah Connelly MP. During Sarah’s visit, she was provided an insight into some key government initiatives that our college is part of, these included; Breakfast Club, Tutor Learning and Mental Health Practitioner.
In addition Sarah confirmed additional funding for the installation of ramps for our portables to ensure we are providing an accessible education for all students.

End of Term Arrangements:
The last day of term 1 for students/classes will be Wednesday 31st March, with Thursday 1st April being a Curriculum Day (student free) for staff.
The Curriculum Day on Thursday 1st April was re-scheduled from earlier in the term due to the snap lockdown and not wanting to disturb student learning after returning from 3 days of remote learning.
