Library Lovers’ Day/Valentine’s Day

Not only was it Valentine’s Day on Sunday 14th  February, 2021 but all around the world libraries celebrated Library Lovers’ Day. Library Lovers’ Day is an annual opportunity for people to celebrate the valuable role that libraries play in their lives. In our KWS library, students were given the option to go on a blind date with a book and many students took up the offer. This gave the chance for some children to be exposed to books that they ordinarily would not have chosen to read and took them to different genres. We are encouraging all children to visit the library and ask us to help them find a great book. Reading makes you smarter.
