Year 8 Indonesian

Year 8 Indonesian students have been reading a book titled “Di Kebun Binatang” (In the Zoo), to learn about descriptions of animals.

In these photos they are completing a collaborative learning task using the “jigsaw” method where each student becomes an expert on an animal and then shares their expertise on the animal with other students.

Year 7 Indonesian Textbooks for 2018

All Year 7 Indonesian students and parents are reminded that they must keep their Saya Bisa 1 textbook and activity book for Year 8.

If they have lost their book during the year, please purchase another one.

French Exchange Host Families Needed

Between February 18 and March 7, 2018, Lilydale High School will be hosting a group of 24 students visiting Australia as part of our partner school exchange program with Lycée Darchicourt in Hénin-Beaumont in the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais in northern France.

Expressions of interest are being sought from Lilydale High families who would be willing to host a student during their visit.  This would involve providing meals and accommodation and activities for the student on the weekend. 

The French students will arrive in Melbourne on Sunday February 18 and will be brought to LHS by bus.  Host families will then meet the students at LHS at between 8 pm and 9 pm (to be confirmed).    The students will leave by bus from Lilydale High School on Wednesday 7 March (in the morning) to the airport for their departure.

This is a wonderful opportunity for your son or daughter to get to know a student from another country and to learn something about their culture. 

If you are willing to host a student, please complete the form below and return to the school as soon as possible.  All applications will be acknowledged.
