Year 10 Theatre Studies

On Tuesday 21 and Thursday 23 November, Ms Goode's Year 10 Theatre Studies class presented a play called ‘Layers’.

The production was specifically student organised with each member of the class taking on a role in the play and an area of stagecraft. These included the producer, directors, props and set designers, hair and makeup designers, costume designers and the publicity and promotion team.

After the audition and casting process, rehearsals went for about two months. Every student committed 100% and worked together as a team to help produce our finished outcome.

Although it wasn’t perfect, it was our best run through yet and each cast member praised the others with all our remarkable efforts.

The publicity team speaks for everyone in the cast, to say that we had such an enjoyable time and also became so much closer with one another; we became our own little family!

We would like to thank all the students who took time out of their lunchtime to watch our play and to the parents and teachers who came too.

We would also like to thank Cam Bamford (Year 11) and Josh Daly (Year 9) who considerably took out of their own time, to do all the sound and lighting.

Also a special thank you to Ash G and Emma C who helped with our hair and make-up.

All in all, it was a great performance and everything went smoothly. It was a great experience and glad we got to share it with you!
