International Students

Primary

What a fantastic end to Term 2! Everyone loved our food tasting days. My love of raw mushrooms caused quite a stir amongst the students…. Everyone loved the sweet tomatoes, apples and bananas. Our sandwich making experiment is where individual tastes really came to light….. But the highlight was eating pizza, party pies and sausage rolls!

Our paper plane competition was a great way to identify ordinal number. Playing Monopoly let us practice our handling of Australian Money. The PLC students are definitely a competitive group!!!

We have also enjoyed learning about colours, clothing, body parts, prepositions and procedural texts.

The highlight of the term was our excursion to Healesville Sanctuary with all of the other Primary International Students. We saw Koalas, Kangaroos, Tasmanian Devils and Dingos to name a few. We enjoyed the Platypus show and were mesmerised by the Spirits of the Sky (bird) show. We touched the spines of an echidna and a turtle shell, held an emu egg and some of us got to feed parrots!

We wish the students moving to mainstream classes full time next term all the very best!
