Primary Sports
HOT ACTION, HOT RACES, WITH RED HOT SUPPORT!!!
Our Primary Athletics Carnival was a spectacular success, once again demonstrating our community’s ability to gather together in the face of adversity and see it through to a job well done! Indeed, our students ran, jumped and threw in some intense heat and never faltered from their endeavours. Each and every student producing the very best that they could muster in every single event that they took part in.
Students repeatedly demonstrated true grit and determination that made teachers and parents alike extremely proud! Furthermore, the support that they gave each other, regardless of house colour and the encouragement given to see each other succeed in every event was truly wonderful.
At the time of writing this I am unable to release age champions and the house winner, with that in mind I would like to invite all reading this to join with the school in celebrating the day on Tuesday afternoon at 2:45 pm in the hall, I hope to see you then.
Cross-Country
Cross-Country practice will be taking place all next week during lesson time in preparation for the big day, which is the morning of the last day of term. (Friday 5 April) the first race will commence at 9:20 am again, I hope you can attend to cheer on these wonderful young people.
Swimming
Lucy Kennedy competed at Sydney’s Olympic park on Wednesday 20 March, at the CIS meet. Lucy, as always, produced her best when it mattered and broke two personal best times in both the freestyle and butterfly and narrowly missing out on a PB in the backstroke by 0.01 of a second! Well done Lucy, the school is extremely proud of you.
Sport success
Please continue to let me know of student successes in sport outside of school, as I enjoy sharing and recognising personal successes of students with our school community.
