Rowville District Inter School Sports
Winter and Summer Sports
Our school has been fortunate enough to be allowed to submit a second boys/mixed netball team in replacement for another school spot. Therefore this has opened up the opportunity for all students to attend the day as a competitor or supporting team member.
Overall, St Simon’s always aims to increase student engagement and involvement while promoting fundamental skills in each sport, good sportsmanship and teamwork.
Our Winter Sports tryouts are completed and teams have been selected through the great support of the Year 5 and 6 teachers.
The selection of teams to represent the school at these competitions are based not only their displayed skills at the tryout sessions, but their skills, effort and participation in Physical Education lessons and their skills noted from their participation within community club based competitions.
All teams are subject to change according to the needs of each sporting team by Mr Karl Camerino. The sport your child is attending in and further information about the Winter Sport competition will be listed in the Operoo permission form sent out to all Year 5 and 6 parents this week.
If you wish to support us with coaching a team or know of someone who can coach a team and is available to help out please contact Mr Karl Camerino directly by email. We currently require parent helpers to coach/umpire the following teams
AFL boys coaches
Netball coaches
Soccer girls coach/umpire (umpire will be only home games and some knowledge of the rules is advantageous)
All parents coaches will need to be vaccinated and have a current up to date Working with Children Check.
