2022 District Cross Country

60 students selected to compete in the District Cross Country have put in a lot of hard work at the end of last term and this term to prepare themselves for the District Cross Country on Friday 29th April.

On the day, all students really pushed themselves to reach the finish line across the twisting and hilly terrain of Jells Park. Overall our school came 5th in the competition and 9 of our students were within the top 12.

We are extremely proud of these students who will be competing at the next level of competition, Division Cross Country Championships.

Thank you to all their parents for supporting your child’s running abilities especially with bringing them to the early morning training sessions.

Also, a BIG THANK YOU to our parent helpers marshalling the course and encouraging our runners on the way.

We hope all parents at St Simon can continue to encourage their children to build their skills in cross country running which will benefit their fitness in so many different ways.
