Year 4 Camp Wyuna Queenscliff

Our Year 4 camp was a fantastic experience for our students who thoroughly enjoyed the adventure of the outdoors and the activities at Camp Wyuna. Some of our Year 4 students have recalled their wonderful time away with the class and have shared their stories of camp.

Year 4 Camp - The Slingshot

Not too long ago the year 4s went on camp in Queenscliff and one thing we did was a slingshot. We did the activity behind an old story that included slingshots and water balloons. All of us got soaked and some of us even got lucky and the water balloons landed on their heads. After the activity the teachers started to misbehave and got wet too. We had a sausage sizzle as well. When we got on the bus we were all exhausted.

The marine and freshwater activity!

We walked into the marine center and met the host Alex was her name. Alex greeted us then told us about the center. Alex took us to the touch tank first the touch is where we can touch everything in the tank everything was so cool and I kept getting goose bumps touching everything. After that Alex let us go around the center and look at all the other fish then Alex took us to the seahorse tank and told us facts about the seahorses she taught us how to tell what the seahorses gender was and then fed them they eat really tiny shrimp. The seahorses were my favourite in the center. Next Alex took us to a little room and told us facts about whales and she showed a whales tooth and let us feel it. It felt weird but also soft in my opinion. Alex took us into a room where there were different tools and samples of things from the ocean i looked into a type of microscope i saw a shell with a hole in it it was very cool. After a bit of looking Alex took us out of the center and we walked back.

I loved the marine and fresh water activity!

The Best Activity I liked at Camp

I liked archery because it was hard and I like challenges. I also popped a balloon once and nearly got a bullseye. My favourite part was seeing the arrow fly. The instructors were very good. One of them even went to the Junior Olympics and won a gold medal. Everyone got a turn but no one except Miss C and I popped the balloon and camp was great.

Year 4 Camp

We started our first activity as soon as we got to camp!

Our first activity was making pizza. First we got flour, yeast, water, salt and sugar.

Then we had to knead it together to form the dough! I made mine a Margherita.

It was sooo yummy!!!
