Engineering Club

This year, MCC has started running an Engineering Club at lunch times on a Wednesday and Thursday where students can learn to use a variety of tools related to Engineering and Technology in general.

Some of these tools include Robotics, 3D Modelling / CAD Drawings, 3D Printing and Coding, with the possibility of offering more opportunities for students later in the year. This is predominantly being run by some of our senior students – some of whom are currently studying Engineering as part of their HSC course via distance education. These students are Khush Patel, Adam Linos and Ashmeen Dhillon. A couple of other Year 12 students whom often help out are Ethan Andreazza, Ambrose Del Rosario, Thomas Hogno and Devarsh Pancholi. All of these senior students have demonstrated some great leadership qualities while running these sessions.

The sessions so far have been very popular, with some students already getting in and starting to build some Robots, while others have been learning how to use CAD Drawing and 3D Modelling programs to build 3D models, which they also have the option to 3D print when completed. Other students are also learning how to program using Scratch and Python. We look forward to seeing what students come up with, while also helping them to develop their skills and knowledge in these areas. Here are a few photos from our sessions so far.
