Post-it Note Wall Mural
The library is looking for student volunteers to build a Post It Note Wall mural in the library.
We hope to create a large and very colourful butterfly made entirely from Post It notes. This mural ties in with the 2022 book week branding and theme of ‘Dreaming with your eyes open’ which will be celebrated later in the year.
We will need many hands during free periods and lunchtimes. Curious and interested students are invited to email the library on library@mgsc.vic.edu.au with your details. .
CBCA Day Book Display
This month the library is showcasing the young adult long-list of notable books for 2022 as selected by the Children’s Book Council of Australia. During Book Week in term three, one title in the Young Adult category will be selected as the ‘winner’ form a short-list. Many of these new titles become book-listed school texts, a testament to the talent of our Australian authors.
“Throughout the year, the CBCA works in partnership with authors, illustrators, publishers, booksellers and other organisations in the children’s book world to bring words, images and stories into the hearts and minds of children and adults. Australian children’s literature enriches our nation and reaches children across the world through international editions.“
