Dramatherapy
Dear Parents/Guardians
My name is Adrienne Sloan and some of you may remember me from when I taught Drama at HCC, some years ago or have seen me around, more recently, in a casual teaching role.
Currently, I’m completing a Masters of Creative Arts Therapies at Melbourne University and part of the masters program involves working for a period of time in an area, in which I am interested.
So this term I am at HCC in my capacity as a Dramatherapist and offering my free services to students and parents.
What is Dramatherapy?
Dramatherapy is a form of psychotherapy (talk therapy), which uses the tools and techniques of theatre and drama as a way of safely exploring issues and problems. It is a way of approaching difficult thoughts and emotions through a creative process.
If you are interested in your child having extra support, please email me and I will send you a consent form to fill in.
If you need more information or would like to discuss your child’s needs with me, please feel free to email at adriennes@student.unimelb.edu.au or call me at the school on Thursdays.
Warm regards
Adrienne Sloan
