Reflecting on 2021
Each year every government school publishes an 'Annual Report to the School Community' - a comprehensive document that shares important data and information about the school over the previous 12 months. This is then shared with the school community and put onto our website as a celebration and sharing of the strengths, successes (and areas for improvement) of our school.
Our most recent Annual Report (for 2020) can be found here.
This week at our School Council meeting (6:30pm on Wednesday 30th March), we will be presenting our 2021 Annual Report to the community and invite all of our parents and carers along to share in this and reflect on what was a very challenging but rewarding year at SKiPPS.
The meeting will begin at 6:30pm and the first 30 minutes will be a presentation sharing key facts, figures and data which tell the story of 2021.
Following the presentation, we will move into our formal School Council meeting which will be the first meeting of our newly elected Council and will see the election of our School Council President, Vice-President and Treasurer. Like with all of our Council meetings and sub-committee meetings, these are open for visitors to attend.
Council will vote to ratify the Annual Report and, once approved in this way, we will share this with you in the next newsletter and on our website.
As this is the final newsletter of term 1, I would like to thank you all for your support in getting us back to something that feels almost 'normal'. After two years disrupted by lockdowns and remote learning, it has been so wonderful to be back at school full-time, learning face to face and seeing whole school events and activities begin again.
This has only been possible due to your support in vigilantly completing the rapid antigen tests at home twice each week, reporting and isolating when we have seen covid cases and supporting your children to wear masks and get vaccinated.
We know none of this is easy but we also understand it is the only way out of this pandemic and it has allowed us to enjoy a term with mercifully few disruptions.
