Perth Careers and VET Expo

Perth’s longest-running careers, training and employment expo was first held back in 2000. Since then, over 160,000 visitors have explored Careers Expo in search of their future.

CSIRO’s Young Indigenous Women’s STEM Academy

The Young Indigenous Women’s STEM Academy (the Academy) will increase the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander females undertaking studies and careers in STEM. The Academy does this through targeted, long-term support to help overcome the barriers that discourage Indigenous women from pursuing STEM careers.

The Academy will be working with cohorts of young Indigenous women from Year 8 through to University.

To be eligible to apply, you must be:

  • Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
  • Female or female-identifying.
  • Passing English, Maths and Science at school.

UN Youth | WA State Conference 2023

Friday 28 April - Sunday 30 April | Accommodation provided at Woodman Point Recreation Camp

State Conference is a three-day event that offers passionate students in Years 9–12 a unique opportunity to meet fellow students from all across Western Australia!

The conference focuses on understanding and discussing important global issues through workshops and interactive problem-solving activities. There will be the opportunity to engage with and ask questions to academics in the field of International Relations and Political Science. There are also a myriad of opportunities to both network and relax.

The UN Youth WA State Conference also hosts a day of Model UN debate. Students will spend some time acting as a diplomat – doing their best to pass resolutions that will benefit the global community and align with their national interests.
