Student Wellbeing

There is a wave of Wellbeing activities this week, with the majority of the term's wellbeing activities occurring in a short space, in order to work around all the other opportunities on offer at the College.

The Road Safety Commission Youth Summit occurred Tuesday this week. Year 12 students travelled to Perth for an all-day road safety workshop in the Convention Centre for an engaging and interactive experience.

Friday 19 May 2023 is our annual Wellbeing and Cultural Appreciation Day with a range of opportunities to be engaged and informed in mental health, nutrition, indigenous culture and history, relaxation, vaping, mural painting and self-care.

A huge thanks to Holyoake for supporting this day financially and running a workshop. Holyoake have been a valuable partner this year, and last, providing services and support, that greatly extends the assistance we can provide students within and beyond College. We have two keynote speakers and six 30-minute workshops, with 8 sessions running simultaneously on the day. Students can sleep-in an extra hour, have a pancake breakfast, and will receive an RUOK? gift pack. The day concludes at 3pm.

Monday 22 May 2023 is the second visit of the Tomorrow Man, Tomorrow Woman program for this year. Cunderdin Ag students complete all six units over Year 11 and 12, covering a range of topics aimed to improve resilience, communication and social skills. It can be a deep dive into challenging topics and a fitting bookend to a week of Wellbeing.

A big thank you to our P&C for subsidising this great program.
