Girls Footy Gala Day - What A Win

On Wednesday 20 July the Seahorses went over to Bonbeach Reserve for the District Footy Gala Day.

There were 12 teams competing from a range of different areas spread from Caulfield down to Carrum, so we knew that there was going to be some tough competition and would have to be on our A game.

After two comprehensive victories in the group stage against Carrum and Lloyd Street Primary we had a big match up against Parkdale Primary in the Semi Final. It was a tight game which was stressful for those playing and in the crowds but we managed to sneak over the line and set up a Grand Final against St Patricks.

Going into half time, scores were level after the defence did some fantastic work holding strong but we knew that we would have to lift up a notch if we wanted to win. The girls dominated the second half and came home with the victory, a huge achievement and something they should be very proud of.

We now progress to the next level and look to go further again, so lets get behind the girls and see how far they can go
