Year 7 News

Camp Coolamatong Memories

About three quarters of our year level, or nearly 60 students, boarded buses in Week 5. Photos show how wonderful it is to see student teams encouraging each other on the survival and ropes courses, lakeside search, with bush cooking and night activities to name a few. Several students braved the rock wall climb, some making it to the top, others rightfully proud of a couple of meters. Among other things, students will certainly remember the creepy fog, scrumptious food, Noelene, friendly activity leaders, blue-green algae, cool mornings and covid departures.

NAPLAN, Attitude to School Survey (AtoSS) and Common Assessment Tasks (CAT)

Well done, Year 7 students, for your positive attitude, having a serious go at national and school subject assessment. Students also had an opportunity to voice their Kurnai Churchill Campus experience in the AtoSS. The SRC, advocates, homegroup teachers, Stymie, Teams and email are other means of speaking up and taking a step to begin support or change.

Our Learning Behavior Update (LBU) Reports have again shown the strengths of Year 7 learners with 45 students scoring over 3.5 out of 4, for how well they organise themselves, complete tasks and become involved in class! A Hot Chip (sauce & drink) Lunch rewarded these students, with others were recognised by having their name on the Awards Wheel or stamps on their Rewards Card
