Our Fortnight In Photos

Senior Room

We have begun trialing a ‘Senior Room’ for our Year 5 and 6 students on a Thursday afternoon where students take responsibility for planning and cooking their afternoon tea whilst enjoying it in a space that has been allocated just for them.

The idea is to help encourage autonomy by giving students more control and choice within the OSHC environment, thus, increasing engagement and motivation.

Last Thursday students were given a budget and as a group decided on their own afternoon tea menu, they used the iPads to research Woolworths prices and discussed allergies, portion sizes and the cook time of items they were ordering.

This Thursday with the support of our educator Ellissah, the students cooked their choice of dumplings and enjoyed a glass of apple juice and a croissant to go with it.

Here is Evie’s recount

This Thursday Deanna, Nate, Sophie, Imogen, Baxter, Sarah, Tom and myself got to go to the Senior room. Last week we agreed to make dumplings, we went to the canteen and we made them, everyone worked together to find the equipment and cook them and Ellissah helped us in the kitchen.

We enjoyed eating the dumplings and we cleaned up as a team. After that we made our way back to the Bungalow so we could enjoy playing some games.

We are looking forward to next week!

Thank You

A big thank you to the lovely prep team who donated some dress ups to OSHC, our students have had a lot of fun and laughs dressing up this week!
