School Sport Vic Team

Congratulations to Liam BH who trialled for the School Sport Vic team and was selected as part of the squad of 22 boys. After 5 vigorous trials Liam finally made it to the gold being nominated as a SSV AFL player for 2022. 

Liam will be lucky enough to represent SSV at the School Sport Australia 12 Years & Under Australian Football Championships from 6 - 12 August 2022 in Norwood/Sefton Park, Adelaide. 

The BNPS community wishes Liam the best of luck in his AFL journey and we look forward to hearing all about the games.

Girls Football Team

The Beaumaris North Primary School Girls Football Team were successful in the District football final.

On Wednesday 8 June, 41 girls from Years 5 and 6 ventured out into the cold to play in a football round robin against schools in our  district.

There were two teams representing the school down at Tulip Street, with one playing in a round robin aiming toward finals, with the other gaining great experience playing in a smaller tournament against Black Rock and Sandringham East.

We were grouped with Sandringham, Sandringham East and Brighton Beach against which we played 3 consecutive games, achieving comfortable victories in all. The girls were then met with the challenge of Brighton PS in a semi-final, who put up a great fight but ultimately the BNPS girls got the chocolates and we were on our way to the Grand Final against local competitor Black Rock.

The girls proved to be big game players here as they turned on their best performance of the day, keeping the opposition scoreless (as they did in 4 of the 5 games throughout the day) and claimed victory, earning a well deserved first place for the day. The support from all the girls on the sidelines was terrific and was instrumental in getting the team up and about.

The enthusiasm and attitude to training and game day was fantastic, which played a major part in the performance of both teams, with both being undefeated for the day. We will now progress to the next level, so we will continue to develop skills and strive to make the most of the star studded line up we have assembled.

Regional Cross Country

On Wednesday 15 June, 3 of our students participated in the School Sport Victoria Southern Metro Primary Region 2022 Cross Country at Hasting's Foreshore.

Isabella D, Charlie C & Eddie A were absolutely incredible and have represented BNPS in an inspiring manner in truly cold and windy weather conditions.

We are proud to announce that Isabella ran 4th, Charlie ran 23rd and Eddie ran 1st.

Isabella and Eddie (MultiClass) now progress to the SSV State Cross Country Carnival, which is an amazing feat. Congratulations to all 3 !
