Assessment and Reporting

Parent Feedback regarding Reports and Portfolios

We recently sought parent input and feedback regarding our Assessment & Reporting processes at COHR, specifically Reports and Portfolios.

Thank you to those who were able to complete the short survey.

We greatly appreciate your feedback.

From the 37 responses received, there was a general consensus that the current format of reports provides parents and carers with comprehensive details regarding the progress of their children, particularly the General Comment written by the teacher, which aims to give insight into the students' social and emotional development.

The full survey results are available below.  Most questions included a linear scale where 1 represented STRONGLY DISAGREE and 5 represents STRONGLY AGREE.

As part of our continuous School Improvement Plan, the staff will be reflecting on these results as well as exploring other ways we can evolve some of current practices, including the possible consideration of digital portfolios in the future.

Later in the year, we hope to seek further advice from parents and carers regarding portfolios, as we privilege the voice of parents in our school decision making and planning.

Should you have any questions or other feedback you would like to give, please do not hesitate to speak to Jill Palermo (Learning and Teaching Leader) and/or email jpalermo@cohroakeast.catholic.edu.au
