COHR Library - The BOOK FAIR is here!

The BOOK FAIR is here, set up in the Library.

We are hosting a Lamont Book Fair at our school in Week 2 & 3. This is a family and Australian run company we are working with this year. A Book Fair is an opportunity to purchase quality literature for your children or friends.

All students are visiting the Book Fair in their Library lessons this week. Students will bring home a wish list to discuss with you about them purchasing one or more of their selected books. Purchases are made with cash, eftpos or online and students will receive their books within a few days of placing their order. Parents are also invited to preview the books from Friday 22nd July, before or after school until the following Friday morning 29th July. Our Book Fair will be held in our school library.

Please note there is no obligation to buy but our school does receive a generous commission in the form of books to add to our library.

Book Week

"DREAMING WITH EYES OPEN" is the CBCA (Children's Book Council of Australia) theme for 2022.

We will celebrate all thing BOOKS at COHR in Week 5 of Term 3 with our annual Book Parade on Tuesday 9th August. Students are invited to come to school dressed as a book character and encouraged to even bring the book along as well. Book character costumes that are homemade or accessorised with home dress-ups help to make it a stress free option, there is no need to go out and buy a costume. Need ideas, please just ask.

We will start the day with a whole school parade and classes will participate in different book activities on that day and during the week. We will also have some bedtime stories to share that you can watch at home - more details will come later about links etc.

Library Bags

Many thanks to families that checked to see if they had any of our spare library bags we loan out when students forget theirs, we've had a few returned, which is great!

Scholastic Bookclub at COHR

Scholastic Issue 5 came home last week.

For parents ordering via LOOP (not cash payments), if they order:

- More than $30 – they get 1 free book

- More than $50 – 2 free books - More than $70 – 3 free books

Orders are completed online or sent to school and we thank our volunteer Mums - Anna Saraullo & Agnes Bermingham for coordinating these orders.
