Learning and Teaching in 5/6I

Students in 5/6I have certainly begun Term 3 with vigour and great intentions to succeed and have a memorable term.

Last week we showcased our talents at the District Athletics at the Knox Athletics track. Two of our great achievers on the day placing 1st in all of her events was Izzy.  Izzy is an excellent sportsperson and team player and we congratulate her on her achievements on the track, Izzy will now have the opportunity to go to the ‘District Athletics’ later in the year. Peter also placed 1st in all of his track events.  Well done to these students!

Our Year 6’s began their faith journey for their Confirmation by gathering with their parents on Thursday night for our Faith Night. We will continue to pray for and support our Year 6’s as they prepare for their sacrament of Confirmation.

Last Friday we celebrated NAIDOC Week with a very moving and thought provoking activity in The Loft. The acronym NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee. Thanks to Mrs Wakeling for creating such a wonderful space for us to learn in.
