Student Leadership

It has been a very positive start to the school year and I thank all of the staff for their hard work in ensuring that the students have settled into the school year.

Providing opportunities for students to grow and develop their leadership skills is a school priority and this was evidenced at our first assembly of the year, whereby our newly appointed Captains, Emily & Alexia did a wonderful job of running the assembly, ably assisted by our Vice Captains Olivia & Jasmine.

We have several important leadership groups this year that will assist and add value to our programs. The leadership groups include STEM, Art, Sport, Library and SWPBS.

There will also be a Junior School Council (JSC), which is made up of our School Captains and two students from each year level from Grade 3 to Grade 5. Once these roles have been appointed, the JSC will meet regularly to use student feedback to discuss how we can improve our already wonderful school.

Sitting alongside the formal leadership roles is the messaging to our students that they can all be leaders by adhering to our KEFAR Values and being an upstander and not a bystander when they observe behaviors that do not align with our values.

From me, thank you to all the families for helping to make the start of the school year a positive experience for everyone.

With Kind Regards,

Cam
