Wacky Wednesday - April 3

Late last week we had a visit from a ministry called Transform the Nations (TtN).  This group works with the very poorest and most oppressed people in Nepal, Myanmar, and India.  They work to bring education to those who would otherwise miss out as well as work skills and training to those who have no way of making a living.  They also work to prevent child trafficking.  Upon talking to our students about the work they do, some of the students in Aleph Learning Centre decided they were keen to raise money to help Transform the Nations.

To raise money for this cause, Aleph has proposed we hold a crazy hair and/or crazy socks day on Wednesday, April 3.

We're encouraging everyone to get creative and think of a crazy way they can do their hair and/or dress up their socks.  If you do a quick google search, you'll find all sorts of amazing ideas.  If that's too much pressure, don't worry, any effort is better than none.

To participate, students need to give $2.  Further donations are very welcome.

Cash prizes are on offer for the best and most creative display.

Parents are welcome to join us for a parade and judging at 9am.   The coffee cart will be in action also raising money for TtN.

ABCs students haven't started attending on Wednesdays yet but they are very welcome to come along and join in the fun.  They could then go home once we're done (around 9:30) or hang around for a while and have a play.
