Varapodio Estate with Dalet

Dalet students headed off with Dr Tim to visit Varapodio Estate in Buronga this week to put some theory into practice.  In Science, Dalet students have been learning about various techniques used to separate mixtures.  They have been applying these techniques in their own attempts to extract oil from various plants and fruits. 

The excursion to Varapodio Estate, which produces some award winning olive oil, provided an opportunity for our students to witness firsthand the techniques used to extract olive oil and help them link what they have learnt in the classroom to current local industry practices.
