Middle School Report

Middle School Matters

Welcome back! Seeing and speaking with many students it seems that most had a more relaxing break, sleeping in being the pick of the replies.

Well the Term has begun at a rapid pace. Students of Production went to camp and by all accounts had a very successful time with rehearsals and I hope as many people can go next week to watch and support the students and staff. All students of Middle School this week had an opportunity to read their reports and write down some personal goals that they wish to achieve in all their subjects and look closely at Literacy and Numeracy. Please take the time to read what your child has written and discuss what they want to achieve in the next term. This can be found in the Home Group Learning Tasks.

Middle School Leaders

Our students have been hard at work and have been able to obtain 6 bins that will be placed around the locker-bay areas that are for recycling rubbish only. Please look at for these bins as they will be the ones with images on them.

As it is still quite cool the students are having a Kahoot competition among Year Levels. Please look out for the details in the coming weeks to get your teams organised.

Year 7

The students in the first week have had the opportunity at lunchtime to have a Dodge Ball competition. This was organised and run by three Year 9 students, Lachlan Palmer, Christian Lay and Sam Kasapoglou.

Well done to all students who took the time to be involved or supported the teams.

Year 8

The Year 8 students have settled in and after their assembly they were reminded of the importance of the Learning. Also as part of the students learning the students will have the opportunity to partake in two expos where they have the opportunity to see and hear what happens in subjects with Community Connections and the electives on offer for next year.

Parents and students are asked to save the date – 15th of August for the Information Night on how to electronically select subjects.

Year 9

The Year 9 student Information Night will be taking place on the 01st of August. This becomes very important for our Year 9 students entering Senior School as certain decisions need to be considered which will affect the future subject choices.
