Year 10 Work Experience : 24th – 28th June 2019

The last week of term 2 saw over 100 year 10 students participate in work experience. This compulsory and valuable school program provides students with experience on what the world of work is like and in particular, allows them to explore one of their fields of interest.

Students undertook their placement in a variety of fields. Fields included – Travel, Costume Design, Physiotherapy, Retail, Education/Childcare, Construction, Hairdressing, Accounting, Dance Studio, Engineering and Taxation, just to name a few!

The feedback I have already received from employers has been extremely positive and I commend all our students for doing a wonderful job whilst on placement. I have received employer comments such as,

“a pleasure to have”

“presented professionally”

“showed great initiative”

“the best work experience student we have ever had”

“energetic and enthusiastic”

“valuable member of our team”

It takes a huge amount of ‘man power’ for the Work Experience program to run successfully so therefore I would like to thank all Futures teachers for assisting students prepare for their placement and all year 10 teachers, including some teachers who do not take year 10 classes, for either visiting students out on placement or contacting them.
