Interview with a Volunteer

Rebecca Beuth

Why do you volunteer at BNPS?

I volunteer at school to be able to get to know the school community, learn more about how the school works, get to know some familiar faces among the teaching staff and parents, and I love the chance to see both of my children around the school (and sneaking in a quick cuddle or writing a little note on their lunch order bag!).

What year level are your children in?

Zach is in Year 2 and Macy has just started in Prep.

What roles have you volunteered for during your time at BNPS?

I have volunteered in the Canteen, Class Rep, Prep Parent Buddy Program, Literacy Groups, I’m on the OSHC Committee, was a Stall Holder at last year’s School Fete (and haven’t eaten Corn on the Cob since!!) and I am currently helping with the Gala Night (dust off your dancing shoes parents & teachers!).

What is your background/current role (outside of BNPS!)?

I’m a Personal Assistant.

What do you do during your spare time?

Like most families, I spend my weekends enjoying family time given the week days are so busy. I love going for bushwalks, going to the beach, catching up with friends, watching live music, drinking wine, eating delicious food and planning our next family holiday.

What’s the best thing about BNPS?

I love the variety of Specialist Programs available to all of the students. I have seen both of my children happy going off to school and have watched some beautiful friendships form. Primary School is such a special time of your life!
