“The Wonderful World of Roald Dahl” is on its way to Blackfriars.  All students from Reception to Year 6 will be involved in a comical performance of this much-loved author.

The children will be exposed to some of Roald Dahl’s famous works including The Enormous Crocodile, The Twits, a Revolting Rhyme, The BFG, James and the Giant Peach and some poetry from Dirty Beasts.

The performance will be held on Monday 19 March in the Frassati Hall after lunch.  It will be presented by Shane Davidson’s company.  Please note there is no cost associated with the performance for families.

Promoting a love of literature and language is so important. This performance will also hopefully foster an appreciation for live theatre.

The 2018 ID cards for Secondary Students have arrived.  Any student who is yet to collect their card needs to do so as soon as possible from the Senior Library.  Students are required to have one, for use on public transport, to use the photocopier and to borrow items from the library.  If an ID card is lost or damaged, the student will need to pay $10 for the cost of a replacement.

Boori Monty Pryor will be visiting the Year 8 students on Tuesday 13 March.  Monty is the author of My Girragundji, The Binna Binna Man and Njunjul the Sun and was the Australian Children's Laureate in 2012-13.  His captivating storytelling and energetic performance never fails to entertain.
