Inside the Classroom
Primary
Primary classes have welcomed several students who are transitioning to our school. They will be starting at our school next year.
The staff and students have filmed a couple of songs which they have been singing and dancing to. They had lots of fun playing instruments and doing the Reindeer Hokey Pokey.
Elsie the Elf has been visiting some of the classrooms and getting up to lots of mischief but is leaving presents for all the students.

Stage 4
Stage 4 are finishing the year strong in the classroom. In Science we have been learning about cells and microscopes. A special "guest" teacher came to Class 6 to help Mrs Griffen teach all about organelles. Everyone was really impressed with Mr Bragg's teaching.
In Technology Mandatory we have been learning about materials. Students researched, designed, and created tie-dye shirts with an original pattern detail. We really enjoyed wearing our colourful creations at school.
Elsie the Elf also paid a visit to Class 8 and has been getting up to lots of mischief.
Class 18 have been keeping busy with their hands as the year draws to an end. Students have continued working on the environmental track, forming the burms and jumps for a precision ride. They have continued working on up-cycling projects with Mr Walker and Miss Shez including mechanical and woodwork, cooking with Miss Marley and exploring a business model for furniture construction which challenged their reading and problem solving skills.

Stage 5
Stage 5 students have been rocking out to the Christmas classic, Little Saint Nick by The Beach Boys in preparation for our item for Presentation Day. Mr Moor’s ICT group have been working behind the scenes to edit the footage into an amazing presentation!
Callum from Class 10 has been working all term on a fundraising mission to raise money for Dementia Australia. His fund raising projects were a lolly guessing competition, a basketball shoot out supported by staff pledges and a classic sausage sizzle on Election Day. The added bonus- all executive staff have committed to dying their hair all the colours of the rainbow if Callum reaches his fundraising goal of $1000!

Stage 6
Stage 6 students have been busy preparing for several large projects they have planned collaboratively. All students have participated in planning, creating and filming for our end of year concert making a short film and song called "The 12 days of year 12".
Selected students have recorded a dance for the Virtual School Spectacular that required them to rehearse to a recorded choreography, practice and record within 2 weeks. Great work dancers and we can't wait to watch the finished dance!
Year 12 students have had the opportunity to access local programs for work experience and transition to work prospects at local day programs at Wangarang, Huntley Berry Farm and Live Better. Congratulations to Shane who has secured an apprenticeship at Lone Star restaurant and Riley for obtaining work next year at Country Fruit Distributors. An extra congratulations to Riley for successfully obtaining his Learners driver's licence.
Last Friday all stage 6 students celebrated the farewell of the year 12 students with a special long lunch.
