2021 Student Graduation
Our year 12 students celebrated their Graduation on Thursday night after 13 years of schooling. Several students have attended Anson Street School since kindergarten others have attended for their senior years. The Graduation started with photos in the Greenhouse garden followed by the presentation of graduates and celebrations in the Coral Sea Room at the Orange Ex-Services Club. A great night was enjoyed by all!
Through great adversity, I have seen our students achieve wonderful things as they finish 13 years of schooling.
Sophie is one of our shining stars and recently appeared in the Schools Spectacular online video. She loves singing and dancing and we will miss her happy and friendly smile around the school.
Aaliyah’s positive messages of hope and kindness have been shared around the school. She has plenty of wonderful attributes to share with others including supporting younger students and I was pleased to see her celebrate the end of school on a positive note at the graduation.
Anouk is a well-loved student from our school and I know many of our staff have fond memories of Anouk throughout her schooling life and wish her every happiness in the years to come.
Shane has been successful in gaining an apprenticeship as a chef which shows how important our work experience program is for students. Shane is a confident young man and I know he will do well. I’m sure we will all be able to enjoy a meal cooked by Shane at Lonestar in the future.
Dominic has a very caring side to him and I am pleased he was able to attend the graduation, celebrating with his classmates. I wish you all the very best and I know mum and the rest of your family are very proud of you.
James is our bubbly young man, who will be missed by everyone. He always has a smile on his face and I know Toot in particular will be sad to see James go.
Josh is such a kind, gentle soul and a pleasure to have around. He is eager to always have a go with whatever is asked of him and has excelled at work experience.
Tyrese has been so involved in so many areas across our school. He is well-loved and will be sorely missed by staff and students alike. Tyrese has been a wonderful role model as School Captain throughout the year.
It is lovely to have Trae here as he has been a positive member of the school over many years. Trae is a friendly student who has a heart of gold and has done extremely well with work experience.
Hugh has many friends across the school and is always up for a good laugh. He brings a smile to everyone’s face, and he will be greatly missed next year. I will definitely miss his karaoke performances.
Sasha joined us for her last 2 years of school and what a difference she has made to our school. Her bubbly, warm nature has been infectious and she has had a big impact on many in a short time. She has been a wonderful role model as School Captain this year.
I have enjoyed a few interesting conversations with Riley over the years and I know that he will do well in the world. Riley is always respectful and such a gentleman who has worked hard to secure a job next year. I’m sure we’ll hear more of Riley in the future.
Payton is a well-loved member of our school and I know many of our staff have taught Payton throughout her schooling and will be sad to see her move on. We wish her much happiness for next year.
Bailey has a special place in many of our hearts. We have seen him grow and develop over the years and I have recently been told that he has been ironing with support in the Skills House. All the very best for a wonderful 2022.
I leave Year 12 with a beautiful song that is all about wishing you all the very best. The song is called Have it All written by Jason Mraz.
Well here's to the hearts that you're gonna break
Here's to the lives that you're gonna change
Here's to the infinite possible ways to love you
I want you to have it
Here's to the good times we're gonna have
You don’t need money, you got a free pass
Here's to the fact that I'll be sad without you
I want you to have it all
