From the Principal
During our last week we will be winding up activities after celebrating achievements at assemblies, the Orange ex-services Christmas party, Year 12 graduation, and Presentation Day.
Last Monday 6th December, all students received a certificate for their classwork at either the primary or secondary assembly. Unfortunately, as we can't have parents on site we had to do our formal Presentation Day ceremony by live stream. Overall we were very pleased with how this went and the stages have prepared their virtual concert item which will be highlighted on FaceBook this week. A list of prize winners will be published on our Facebook site and a program from Presentation Day is available on request.
The school leaders for 2022 were announced at Presentation Day and I thank all students who created a presentation and put themself forward to be in the running.
Congratulations to our Student Leaders for 2022
School Captains: Alex Button and Nathaniel McMillan
Vice Captain: Ruby Jarvis
Primary School Captain: Isabella Donaghy
Primary Leaders: Shelby Bragg and Mitchell Howarth
House Captains

Please go to the What's Happening section of the newsletter to see notes about our wonderful group of 14, Year 12 students who have completed their formal school education.
At the recent Council elections, the P&C had plants and cakes for sale in the cola area. Callum Jones, Year 9 student also held a BBQ with the support of staff to raise money for dementia.
We are looking at establishing another class on the main site as our numbers continue to grow across the school. Students will find out their class and staff on the first day of attendance next year when they will meet in stage groups and then be supported to their new classroom. The first day for students in years 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 will be Tuesday 1st February and students in K, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 will start on Wednesday 2nd February.
Academic reports will be sent home with students on the last day of term, Thursday 16th December. Information about the start of 2022 will be included in the envelope sent home.
Thank you for the support you give our school and your child every day. Yet again this has been a difficult year with lockdowns and building construction around the school. I hope for a more settled year with all projects completed and 2 new transport areas opened to take the pressure off Anson Street.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and time with family over the school holidays. I'm looking forward to catching up with my young grandsons and family. 🎅🎄🤶
