CAREERS

DECEMBER REPORT

Planning is underway with a range of regular and new activities scheduled for career education in 2022.

Year 9s can look forward to participating in My Career Insights in early 2022 with the Real Industry Job Interview (RIJI) program scheduled for semester 2.  You can read more about these programs:

My Career Insights, go to: https://ceav.vic.edu.au/my-career-insights/

RIJI, go to:http://inllen.org.au/initiative/real-industry-interviews/

Year 10s can expect more time spent on pathway planning and career exploration.

The Class of 2022 (our 2021 year 11s) are invited to complete the careers introduction survey so that the Wurun Careers Team can learn more about you and your 2023 plans so we can support you during your final year of high school.  To complete the survey, go to: https://forms.gle/bEXiPaHESBaRHp6B7

But before we bid farewell to the year, the Class of 2021 have results to look forward to on Thursday 16 December.

Change of preference help is available for students.  Check your emails and Compass for more detail, however, students can make a time to meet with me or join an open googlemeet session.

VTAC, and most tertiary providers, also have change of preference support available.

Check tertiary provider websites for more details.

You can contact VTAC on 9920 1020. They will be open on Saturday 18 December and Sunday 19 December.

There is a Post Results service offered during this time: https://pras.resultsandatar.vic.edu.au/

Good luck to all students finalising preferences for 2022.

For parents and guardians, I’m always interested in hearing about what you would like to see included in the Collingwood College Careers program.

Please email me your ideas or feedback.

Looking forward to working with you in 2022.
