International Students Award and End of Year Celebration

On Wednesday, 1st December the international students gathered as a whole group for the last time in 2021 to celebrate another challenging but successful academic year. Lucy and Angie presented gifts bearing our best wishes to all our international students followed by eating, drinking and socialising. Awards were given to those students who achieved excellence in their academic studies. Students who displayed good behaviour and concerted effort were also recognised. In particular, we would like to recognise the following students for their performance and achievement this year:

Long Nguyen in Year 12

Emily Wu in Year 8

Elvis Thirkill in Grade 4

We wish our Year 12 International students Long Nguyen, Theresa Le and Quan Nguyen all the very best as they anxiously await their results. We hope they achieve their goals and dreams. I would like to recognise the extraordinary efforts of our Year 12 students who have had to deal with so many challenges including the day-to-day challenges of studying, adapting to a different environment and culture, learning a new language as well coping with the isolation of Covid restrictions on their own with their families overseas. 

We would also like to recognise the dedication and support of their parents who have not been able to meet with their children for two years and have been anxiously supporting their children from afar.

Furthermore, we are also very grateful to all the teachers who recognise the particular challenges that the international students face and are always so supportive. Thank you on behalf of our students and their families. 

We look forward to hearing of their achievements and their life directions in the future.
