On this day we pay respect and pause for one minute to remember the service and sacrifice of our veterans and current serving personnel.

Below is the extract from slideshow

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the moment the guns fell silent on the Western Front after the bloodshed of World War I. Over the past century, this moment has been adopted across the globe as a time to remember those who served and sacrificed in all wars and conflicts.

This Remembrance Day, RSL is asking all Australians to Remember to Remember – to commit to pausing for just one minute to remember those who gave their lives in service to their country, those who returned home injured or ill, and those who bravely serve our country today.

Please stand for The Ode

Reader:    "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them."

1--- Minute silence ---

All: "Lest we forget"

We listen to The Last Post and Rouse

God of Peace,

Jesus, your Son, taught us that dying leads us to new life.

On this day, we remember especially all the courageous men and women

who willingly sacrificed their lives in wartime

so that our lives today would be full and free.

Their bravery brought us liberation and peace.

Free all who suffer oppression today in war-torn nations throughout the world.

We ask this prayer in the name of Jesus whose death brought life to the world.

Amen.

Blessings,
