Assistant Principal News

Farewell Banyan Fields Community.

Fourteen years ago I began my journey at Carrum Downs Primary School, when I started as a foundation teacher.  I have had the privilege of watching hundreds of students grow and develop into wonderful members of the Carrum Downs community throughout the years. Alongside this I have seen the school transform to the Banyan Fields that we all love today. I have enjoyed every minute of my time as a classroom teacher and as a member of the leadership team. I have many fond memories of concerts, fundraisers, dress up days, Carols on the Fields, celebratory morning teas (especially the scones), Grandparent days and camps.

Throughout my different roles I have worked closely with many families, had the opportunity to help and support many students, and be witness to many students blossoming and achieving their goals. This has made me very proud over the years to be part of the school community.

I am filled with mixed emotions as I say farewell to the students, teachers and community that have been such a big part of my teaching career. As I leave Banyan Fields to take on a new role as Assistant Principal, I hold so many memories very closely to my heart of success, strength, resilience and hope from students, their families and staff. I know that the staff at Banyan Fields will continue to inspire the students to reach for their goals and achieve their dreams.

I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday break and get to spend time with family and friends doing all the things that you love!

Farewell BFPS!

Kindest regards,

Amelia Busuttil

Assistant Principal (Acting)
