Concert Information
Hi everyone,
Our Covid Safe concert is underway! We will run it as we did last year in the gym with a live link being sent out on the morning of the concert. DVDs will also be available for purchase for parents who can’t catch it live.
Here are the dates to remember
Thursday 25th of November – Full dress rehearsal
Wednesday 1st of December – Whole school concert
A full list of costume requirements will be sent home here and also on Seesaw for future reference.
With only a few weeks to go, the concert may not be completely polished but it certainly seems right to me to get in happening for the kids!
Thanks,
Dallas, Daniel and Bec 😊

Year 4 Concert Information
Hi everyone,
As you’re probably aware, the Year 4s have been working on something a little bit different for the concert this year. With our drama expert Libby, last term we undertook learning about 25 different personal character strengths. Things like zest, humour, kindness, spirituality etc.
From there, the students decided which character strengths resonated with them and they created their Super hero character. During remote learning the students were asked to come up with a costume (from their wardrobe) that matched the traits of their character, a motto or catch cry, a name etc. Some of the students created the most amazing film trailers!
So, today when we met together again, I made sure the students had done all of those things so that they understood what they were actually working on.
Concert costume – Student are to design it with items from home! It can be as simple or outlandish and over the top as they like. All I ask is that it works with their personality traits. For example – We have a “Nature Girl” –a green costume with a daisy chain around her head would really suit the character. I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!
Thanks,
Dallas 😊
