On Sunday 28th November we begun the season of Advent

Advent is the first season of the Church year. It is the season of longing and waiting as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus, God-with-us. Advent celebrates the coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, into human history. The challenge is to remember that God is constantly with us and close to us. The Advent season is one of promise and fulfilment. It is a celebration of past, present and future.

Congratulations to those students who celebrated their Sacrament of First Eucharist

On Tuesday 23rd November our Year 4 students finally had the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of First Eucharist. 

The celebrations were a reverent and joyous occasion shared by the students and their families. On behalf of all in our school and parish communities we congratulate those students and the families who have been supporting these students on their Sacramental Journey. May they continue to recognise that the love of Christ is with them always. 

Sacrament of Confirmation 

We can confirm that the Sacrament of Confirmation for the current Year 6 students will take place at Salesian College on Friday 4th March 2022 7pm

The Parenting in Faith Session prior to the Confirmation will be on Tuesday 8th February and Wednesday 9th February, 2022 at 6:30pm in St Anne’s Church. Candidates and parents are required to attend. The Parish will contact families regarding booking a preferred session for the Parenting in Faith Evening as well as booking the Sacrament of Confirmation celebration and paying the registration fee.

We would like to remind families to complete the Google Form that was sent home with the name of the Confirmation Candidate’s Sponsor and their chosen Confirmation name. We ask parents to complete this  together with their child 

Please note: The Sponsor must be over 16 years of age and a baptised Catholic, who is a suitable role model for the candidates as they grow in faith and maturity. The Confirmation name is that of a saint, that they have researched, respect and have a connection with.
