WA Student Assistance Payment

WA Student Assistance Payment

The WA Student Assistance Payment is a State Government initiative designed to help parents and carers with cost-of-living pressures associated with sending their children to school. All Western Australian school students in Kindergarten to Year 12 with a valid WA student number are eligible for this cost-of-living payment.

You can claim $250 for each secondary student and $150 for students attending primary school or kindergarten. The payment will be available through the ServiceWA app, with parents and carers encouraged to set up or update their ServiceWA account and have an active digital identity.

To apply, you'll need to provide a valid WA Student Number (WASN). This 8-digit number is sometimes called a SCSA or student number. You can find that number on your child’s SmartRider, school report, or NAPLAN results (these can be accessed via SEQTA Engage). If you are having difficulty finding the number, please email info@tkc.wa.edu.au for assistance.

The payments will be available through the ServiceWA app from the start of Term 2 (April 15). More info about the app is available at http://wa.gov.au/servicewaapp
