Gardening

Our TPS gardening  program is up and running for students in prep to year 2 (terms 1 &2)

This week in the garden we engaged our senses to explore and discover the prep sensory garden and the farm. Children discussed the importance of looking after our garden and how it in return looks after us, providing us with food, shelter, and a place to learn and play. We acknowledged the long history of First Peoples connection to country.

A treasure hunt in the farm uncovered a bounty of potatoes, giant Zucchinis, and  cherry tomatoes which we harvested and shared amongst the TPS community.

We cooled off with a taste of iced river mint tea, harvested from the native food garden at the front of the school.

Looking forward to a wonderful term of learning, playing and growing together with the children outdoors.
