We Are Back - Some Photos:

Teacher Mele James completes her two years as a Provisionally Certified Teacher and Graduates in front of her colleagues.

Mele is an exceptional teacher and an exceptional human being. She has received awesome support from her Mentor Lauren Nummy, her Team Leader Annette Pram, her Piwakawaka Team colleagues and our Leadership Team.

Huge congratulations to a truly inspiring woman and colleague, Mele.

Junior School Water Play and our Loose Parts equipment. Fun in the sun at WHS.

Jo Merritt's 40th Birthday - this was in August during Lockdown, so we had a catch-up birthday surprise organised for this week. When Jo arrived in our staffroom he was looking around to see whose birthday it was. Secret well kept!

Elfa is our bells, phones and IP Paging system provider, technician and support person. He is awesome, and nothing is ever a problem for Elfa.

His wife Elva was a member of our Support Staff for a year or so, and was (and is) amazing. She has the biggest, kindest heart and is so patient and caring and understanding. Elva also does all the notices and newsletter translations into Chinese for our WeChat Chinese community. This is a massive job and makes a massive difference to our ability to effectively communicate with our community.

Stella is their daughter, a much treasured student here.

These three topped everything off by donating boxes of quality hand sanitiser, gloves, masks and a present for Stella's class and many of our staff.

Much love and respect to this family from us all at WHS.

Mele and Julie go to the same church. They and Pastor Ollie have organised numerous food parcels for needy families in our community over Lockdown. They have also organised wonderful Christmas Boxes for those families - which have been delivered to families by our Deputy Principals, Adele and Teresa.

I am in awe of the kindness and generousity of these people and their church - our sincerest and deepest thanks and appreciation to all involved.

Sharon celebrated a special birthday last week too.

Children celebrating Diwali - a couple of weeks back - sorry I missed posting these photos at the time.
