Principal’s Update

I would like to thank our community for their tremendous understanding as Morwell Campus has responded to a number of Covid cases over the last few weeks.  This has been disruptive to students while they try and reengage with on site learning, and disruptive to families who have had to make arrangements for looking after their children.  For the most part, families have been very positively responsive and supportive of the actions the school has had to take.  Thanks to the hard work of students and teachers, we have successfully kept Covid exposures to a minimum.

This week we have farewelled our Year 10s to start their journey at the University Campus.  It has been spectacular watching them grow over the last four years into a tremendous group of young men and women and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements.  We know that they will achieve great things and look forward to their Year 12 graduations in two years.

Next week, we have a Student Free Day on Monday followed by three days of finalisation for our Years 7-9 students in their current year levels.  On Friday, we look forward to our College day out at Gumbuya World – a great reward for making it through a very tough year.  The week of December 6th, our students move into their 2022 year levels to make a start on their future classes, while our 2022 Year 7s will begin with us on the 7-9th December.

It is a very busy time, but our classes continue to be exceptionally productive and positive and we are looking forward to finishing this year strongly to give students the best preparation for 2022 possible.

Our leadership team for 2022 remains the same and if you have any questions about your child’s next year of education, I encourage to contact the relevant Team Leader:

Year 7 & 8 – Daniel Murphy

Year 9 – Anthony Di Fabrizio

Year 10 – Sheryl Tangi

As always, if I can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
