Principal's News

Mr Rodrigues

Dear Families,

It is so hard to believe how close we are to the end of our school year. It has certainly been one full of great challenges and great achievements.  I am incredibly thankful to our amazing teachers who have done such a great job in maintaining  such positive learning environments for all our children both online and at school. Of course it is not just the classroom teachers but our specialists, LSO's and admin staff who all work together to make Trinity such a great place to be.

It is exciting thinking about all the wonderful celebrations yet to come like our Year 6 Graduation, Carols and End of Year Liturgy but in the meantime our children will keep learning and preparing for the end of Year.  Thank you to all our parents who were able to attend the Student Led Conferences this afternoon and those who will meet with teachers later this evening. It is so important for our children to be able to share their work and see the value in all their learning their semester.

Art Show: It takes a village and our village is Richmond

Parents Invited and Welcome to attend. Our children's wonderful Artworks will be displayed in the MPR

Wednesday 2:45-5pm and Thursday 8:15-9:15.

Parents who might like to help are welcome to meet us at the Zoo, however, they will need to pay for their own entry and have a working with children's check. Permission forms will be sent home Monday 6th December.

Condolences

Our condolences go out to Mrs Barbara Shaw, our Librarian, whose father passed away in Germany recently. It is always made more difficult by distance and so our prayers and thoughts are with Barbara at this sad time.

First Eucharist

A very big thank you to Fr. Trung, our parents, our teachers and all the people who made our First Eucharist such a special celebration. We could not have asked for a more perfect day for this important occasion.

New School Uniform

We finally have examples of the new school uniform for 2022. As communicated our new uniform will only be compulsory for next year's Prep Students, however, any family wishing to purchase any of the new items is able to do so. We will have a transition time until all students will be required to wear the new uniform.  Soon we will have a link to the online store which will manage the sales and ordering of all uniform items and we will communicate that as soon as it is available. we will stock items for sizing and purchases will be delivered to the school for collection. Of course anyone wishing to try and buy in store can do so at, NOONE Uniform Stores, 283 Lower Heidelberg Road , East Ivanhoe VIC 3079

Parents & Friends - Christmas Raffle

Donations received so far for this year’s Christmas raffle have been outstanding. We are extremely grateful to all those families that have donated so far. The hampers are going to be filled with joy! We will be accepting donations up until Friday 10th December.

On the morning of Monday 13th of December we will be putting the hampers together while the whole school is away at the zoo. This is a very fun morning and I encourage anyone who would like to come and help to let me know on 0455023227.

Many thanks, Jenny. P&F

Congratulations Amy

An outstanding achievement by Amy in Year 6 who has been working with Mrs Plackett, developing her public speaking and debating skills. Here a post from the Debaters Association of Victoria.

Congratulations Douglas

Our congratulations to Douglas in Year 4 who was selected to represent Victoria for the Australian Karate Championships for two years in a row 2020 and 2021. As we know, reaching state and national level in any sport takes great dedication and talent and so we are all very proud of his achievements.

Douglas: I am a brown belt in Shotokan Karate-Do club of Richmond. In December 2019, I competed at Coburg with other club members and achieved a Gold medal, Bronze medal and Most Spirited under 16’s award.

Science Lessons

How lucky are we to have Science as a specialist subject here at Trinity. Mrs Foley is always planning such engaging and challenging lessons for our children which really gets them thinking. This week our seniors were exploring the effects of motion on objects and making observations of their experiments.  A lot of un and a lot of learning.

SPS - Speech Pathology in Schools

Trinity and SPS  will continue their partnership in 2022 to provide ongoing language and speech support for our teachers and children. I have included below a  resource from SPS which outlines some great strategies for Parents to support their children's reading at home.
