Swimming Championships
On Thursday, the 29th of March, 11 students made their way to Kardinia Aquatic Centre to represent Staughton College at the Western Metro Region Swimming Championships. Students were competing against many strong and competitive schools, but our students did themselves and their school proud by even getting to this level of competition. In order for students to swim at this event, they had to place first in a qualifying round two weeks prior.
RESULTS:
Jack CARR: 1st in 50m Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, 100m Backstroke and the 200m Individual Medley
Kacie HALLMARK: 4th 50m Backstroke, 4th 50m Breaststroke and 7th 100m Backstroke
Elijah Alingcastre: 4th 50m Backstroke

Congratulations to Jack Carr who has qualified for State Finals in 5 events on Wednesday 18th April. Jack will also take on the nation’s best swimmers at the Australian age group championships this month in Sydney. We wish you all the best for both of these events.
Congratulations to all students involved, who swam fantastically and achieved some personal best times as well. A huge thank you goes out to all of the parents who came and cheered Staughton College along on the day. Your support was greatly appreciated.
