Cricket Clinic
On Thursday 17th March our students had the opportunity to attend a cricket clinic held by Brett Russell and Kathy Barber. Brett hopes to attract more cricketers to the sport in schools. The aim of cricket is to score runs and play fairly. Cricket is a sport that reaches across boundaries of gender, race and class. Cricket also has a culture of respect towards your team mates, the opposition and most importantly, the umpires. During the clinic students were divided into three groups to play some modified cricket. There were some great batters and bowlers and everyone enjoyed themselves. All the students from Stages 2, 3, 4 and 5 enjoyed the opportunity to learn new skills and meet different people who can inspire them to strive for their goals.
